Hello Website Visitors,
My name is Josie Davis and I am the inventor of the “Room Second Hand Smoke Eliminator”©. I retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years. I am the founder and CEO of Josie Davis Enterprise. I am a non-smoker, therefore, I can imagine your astonishment and surprise as to why I invented the “Room Second Hand Smoke Eliminator”©. However, this product is used by me as well. First, let me tell you the story behind the “Room Second Hand Smoke Eliminator”©.
My brother came to live with me after he was released from the hospital. He was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and only had three months to live. My brother James was addicted to cigarettes and was a chain smoker from an early age. I am allergic to cigarette smoke, therefore, he could not smoke in my home because of my allergies. The smoke causes an exaggerated reaction such as sneezing, coughing, and respiratory problems. This is the effect on the average individual.
When James got to the point where he could no longer go outside to smoke due to his illness, I had so much empathy on him. I told him that I was going to invent a product to help people that are addicted to cigarettes, people who are non-smokers, and people with allergies who live with smokers. He told me this was a good idea.
After James died, I started thinking about the things we discussed and how I could have made his suffering a little more bearable. I remembered the promise that I made to invent a product to help people in his condition. So I made a sketch of the “Room Second Hand Smoke Eliminator”©. I then made a prototype as to what it should look like. I found an excellent cabinet maker and applied for my patent.
My dream is to get the “Room Second Hand Smoke Eliminator”© in every home where second hand smoke is present and to make the homes safer for loved ones who have to endure the second hand smoke as well as improve their enjoyment of life.
